Terms and Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Last updated: 21 October 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the fazpar.com website and the FazPar service.

By submitting an application, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and agree to the conditions governing the service.

WHAT IS FAZPAR?

FazPar is a matchmaking and introduction service for people looking for a serious relationship.

Using the information provided in applications, we aim to identify potential compatibility between candidates.

FazPar does not operate through public profiles or a swipe-based system.

Structured application data may be used to calculate internal compatibility indicators. Any potential matches identified are subsequently subject to human review before an introduction is made.

WHO CAN APPLY?

FazPar is intended exclusively for people aged 18 or over.

By applying, you confirm that:

  • you are at least 18 years old;
  • you are looking to meet someone with the intention of building a serious relationship;
  • the information you provide is truthful and up to date;
  • you have the right to provide the photographs and other information included in your application.

FazPar may suspend or remove applications where there are reasonable grounds to believe that false, misleading or third-party information has been provided.

APPLYING IS FREE

Submitting an application to FazPar is free.

There is no charge for:

  • completing the application form;
  • having your application reviewed;
  • remaining in the candidate database;
  • receiving information about a potential match;
  • deciding whether you are interested in moving forward.

Having an active application does not create any obligation to pay.

WE DO NOT GUARANTEE A MATCH

FazPar aims to identify potential matches based on the applications available.

We do not guarantee:

  • that a match will be found;
  • that a match will be found within a specific timeframe;
  • a minimum number of potential matches;
  • that a person you are introduced to will choose to move forward;
  • that an introduction will result in a relationship;
  • that two people considered compatible will necessarily have mutual interest or chemistry.

The availability of potential matches also depends on the applications available at any given time.

HOW A POTENTIAL MATCH IS IDENTIFIED

FazPar may use structured application criteria to help identify potential matches.

Factors that may be considered include:

  • relationship goals;
  • age range;
  • mutual preferences;
  • children and whether you would like to have children;
  • lifestyle;
  • values;
  • interests;
  • willingness to consider a long-distance relationship;
  • location;
  • criteria identified by candidates as essential or preferred.

The compatibility system is used as a supporting tool.

The decision to introduce a potential match is not made solely by automated means. A human review takes place before any introduction.

LONG-DISTANCE RELATIONSHIPS AND INTERNATIONAL APPLICATIONS

FazPar accepts international applications.

People living in different cities or countries may be considered compatible where both people’s preferences allow for a long-distance relationship.

Geographical distance alone does not prevent a potential match.

A willingness to maintain a long-distance relationship or relocate to another city or country in the future may be considered as part of the compatibility assessment.

INTRODUCTION OF A POTENTIAL MATCH

When we identify a potential match, FazPar may separately provide each candidate with a limited summary of the other person’s profile.

Each person is free to decide whether they wish to move forward.

The information initially provided does not include personal contact details such as an email address or mobile phone number.

No one is required to accept a proposed match.

MUTUAL INTEREST AND PAYMENT

Payment is only required when:

  • FazPar identifies a potential match;
  • the potential match is presented to both people;
  • both people express an interest in moving forward.

At that point, the introduction service costs €20 per person.

Payment is made individually by each person.

Contact details are not shared until the introduction process has been completed and the payment conditions have been met by both people.

The fee may change in the future. Any change will apply only to introductions taking place after the new price comes into effect and will be communicated before any payment obligation arises.

IF ONE PERSON DOES NOT MOVE FORWARD

If only one person expresses interest, no introduction takes place and no payment is due.

If there is mutual interest but one person subsequently decides not to complete the process before contact details are shared, the introduction will not take place.

If one person has already made payment and the introduction cannot be completed because the other person did not complete the process, or for a reason attributable to FazPar, the amount paid will be refunded.

RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

Where a distance contract for the provision of services is concluded and consumer protection rules apply, statutory withdrawal rights may apply.

Where the candidate requests that the introduction service begin before the end of the statutory withdrawal period, FazPar may request an express statement confirming that they wish the service to begin immediately.

Where legally applicable, the candidate will also be asked to acknowledge that, once the service has been fully performed, the right of withdrawal may cease to apply.

Any statutory consumer rights are not affected by these Terms.

WHEN FAZPAR’S ROLE ENDS

For a particular introduction, FazPar’s service ends once the introduction process has been completed and contact details have been shared between both people.

From that point onwards, it is entirely up to the two people to decide:

  • whether they wish to communicate;
  • how they wish to communicate;
  • whether they wish to meet;
  • where and when they wish to meet;
  • whether they wish to continue getting to know each other;
  • whether they wish to begin or end a relationship.

FazPar does not monitor, manage or control the relationship between candidates after the introduction.

CONDUCT AND SAFETY

Each candidate is responsible for their own decisions and interactions with other people.

FazPar must not be used to:

  • harass or threaten other people;
  • commit fraud;
  • use a false identity;
  • obtain third-party data improperly;
  • promote illegal activities;
  • use contact details received through FazPar for purposes unrelated to the introduction.

FazPar may suspend or remove candidates where there are reasonable grounds relating to fraud, safety, abusive behaviour or misuse of the service.

When arranging an in-person meeting, we recommend taking appropriate safety precautions, including choosing a public place for the first meeting.

VERIFICATION OF CANDIDATE INFORMATION

FazPar reviews the information provided by candidates themselves.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, FazPar does not carry out exhaustive checks of a candidate’s identity, criminal record, employment status, marital status or other information provided by the candidate.

A person’s inclusion in FazPar does not mean that FazPar guarantees their identity, behaviour, intentions or the accuracy of all information they provide.

If we identify false information or inappropriate behaviour, we may suspend or remove the application.

PHOTOGRAPHS AND PROFILE INFORMATION

Photographs and information provided in applications do not constitute public profiles.

Their use is limited to the operation of the service and the permissions granted by the candidate.

It is prohibited to copy, disclose, publish or use information or photographs received through an introduction for any purpose other than getting to know the potential match, without that person’s permission.

PERSONAL DATA

The processing of personal data is explained in FazPar’s Privacy Policy.

When using the service, candidates should review the Privacy Policy to understand:

  • what information is collected;
  • how it is used;
  • which tools are used to process the data;
  • how long the data may be retained;
  • their rights in relation to their personal data.

COMMUNICATIONS

Official communications between FazPar and candidates are primarily carried out by email.

The official contact address is:

geral@fazpar.com

It is the candidate’s responsibility to provide a valid email address and regularly check their inbox, including spam or junk mail folders.

APPLICATION CHANGES OR DEACTIVATION

The candidate may request that their application be deactivated.

The request can be sent to:

geral@fazpar.com

Deactivating an application means that the profile will no longer be considered for new potential matches.

Requests relating to the deletion of personal data are handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

SERVICE AVAILABILITY

FazPar may change, suspend or update features of the service where necessary for technical, operational, legal or security reasons.

We do not guarantee that the website or the systems used will be continuously available without interruption.

LIABILITY

FazPar is responsible for providing the review, selection and introduction service as described in these Terms.

FazPar is not responsible for decisions, actions, messages, meetings or relationships between candidates after an introduction has been made.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

These Terms and Conditions may be updated to reflect changes to the service, pricing, the operation of FazPar or applicable law.

Changes will not retrospectively create new payment obligations in relation to introductions that have already been agreed.

The current version will be available at fazpar.com.

GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

These Terms are governed by Portuguese law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights that may apply based on the candidate’s country of residence.

In the event of a question, complaint or dispute, the candidate should first contact:

geral@fazpar.com

Consumers may use any legally available consumer dispute resolution mechanisms.
